Curriculum of Molecular and Cellular Pathology of Aging-related Diseases
Mariapaola Nitti is Associate Professor of General Pathology. She teaches Molecular and Cellular Pathology – Master Degree in Molecular and Health Biology, and General Pathology and Pathophysiology – Degree in Speech and Language Therapy. Her research activity is focused on molecular mechanisms of cell adaptation to stress, mainly in neuronal, endothelial and cancer (melanoma) cells and endothelial cells. At the present, she is studying the role of the transcription factor Nrf2 and Heme Oxygenase 1 in cell responses to oxidative and proteotoxic stresses.
