Curriculum of Biochemistry
Santina Bruzzone is Professor of Biochemistry and teaches in the Degree Course in Medicine, Bioengineering, Biotechnology and Nursing.
She carries out research in the field of biochemistry, with particular interest in the aspects of the transduction of molecular signals in physiological and pathological conditions.
Her current research lines concern the characterization of the role of bioenergetic molecules (NAD and derivatives) in different processes and pathologies, with a particular focus on the signaling pathways triggered by sirtuins and CD38 starting from NAD.
