Anna Pittaluga, PhD, is responsible of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutic at the course of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies, Department of Pharmacy, University of Pharmacy.
Her research aims at the pharmacological characterization of presynaptic receptors in the Central Nervous System, on their functional and structural interaction and their impact on central neurotransmission. In the last 15 years she also focused her studies on the interaction between the nervous system and the immune system in physiological conditions as well as in demyelinating autoimmune diseases and in ageing. She also investigates the impact of phytocomplex and botanicals in the central nervous system.
